It is a large lake that consists of mostly residential, waterfront homes along its shoreline. It’s an all-sports lake with public access off Tipsico Lake Road, near Webberdale. TIPSICO LAKE - Encompasses 300 acres and has a maximum depth of 27 feet. There is also a boat ramp, and volleyball and basketball courts.

Proud Lake Recreation Area, with just over 3,000 acres, is located on the scenic Huron River in Oakland County and offers diverse and plentiful recreational opportunities. Two of the lakes like that are Fox Lake and Proud Lake. In addition to the well-maintained campground, the Proud Lake State Recreation Area also features a beautiful lake where guests can swim, kayak, canoe, fish, or boat. We camped at Proud Lake Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer. Scenic area, convenient to necessities and a decent commute to the Henry Ford. Staff was nice but no one seemed to be enforcing quiet hours. The park is also home to a modern campground, camper cabins, more than 20 miles of trails, land open to hunting and the 105-acre nature study area that encompasses a floating bog and associated woodland vegetation. A 4-mile stretch of the scenic Huron River flows through the park, which is part of a state- and federally designated water trail, providing fishing and paddling opportunities. Proud Lake State Recreation Area is in Oakland County midway between Milford, Wixom, and Walled Lake.

The virtual meeting will be recorded and posted online approximately one week after the event. "This past summer, more than 1,900 people completed an online public input survey about amenities and programs they would like to see at Proud Lake, which provided initial guidance for drafting the plan."Īdditional opportunities to provide feedback via an interactive public input survey will be available immediately following the meeting.
"Public input is a critical part of the planning process," said Debbie Jensen, park management plan administrator for the DNR Parks and Recreation Division. The virtual meeting will include an overview of the planning process and draft plan, followed by an opportunity for people to share feedback and questions with DNR staff. General management plans are used to define a long-range planning and management strategy that protects a state park’s resources while addressing recreation and education needs and opportunities.
